2012 CASC Scholarship Program
The California Association of School Counselors has created the CASC Scholarship Program to assist students with their post-secondary education. The following scholarship opportunities are now available:

Make a Video - Win a Scholarship
CASC will conduct a scholarship competition that will require high school seniors to create a short video (3 minute max.) about how their school counselor assisted them with an academic issue, a career development issue, or a personal/social issue. We will post the winning videos on our website in hopes that they can be used to help you advocate for your school counseling program. The school counselor referred to in the scholarship competition must be a member of CASC. If you are not a member but would like your student to be eligible to participate, join CASC today.

Theme: How has your school counselor encouraged you in one or more of the following three areas: career development, educational planning, and/or during a social/emotional challenge? Create a video that shows how your school counselor encouraged you.

Eligibility: Students who meet both of the following criteria are eligible to apply:
1. The student must be a senior attending a public or private high school in California.
2. The student will attend a post-secondary educational program (i.e., college, technical school or trade school) during the fall of the 2012-2013 school year.

Awards: Two $500 scholarships will be awarded.

Please follow the instructions in the scholarship package to apply for an award. The nomination period opens April 1, 2012 and the deadline to submit is May 31, 2012. Winners will be notified prior to June 15, 2012.
